Jamie joined UK NEQAS for ICC & ISH in late September 2017 as the Deputy Scheme Manger. His role involves supporting the Scheme Manager with the day-to-day running of the scheme, as well as quality control monitoring and other various scheme activities. He provides technical support in a range of modules; is involved in and leads assessments; conducts various scheme audits, and contributes to the e-Journal.
Jamie’s previous role was a Senior Biomedical Scientist at UCL – Advanced Diagnostics, where his main responsibilities involved enumerating and reporting HER2 DDISH/FISH cases, as well other senior responsibilities within the immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridisation laboratory. He also assumed the role of Training Officer whilst there. His previous positions as a Biomedical Scientist at various grades have been in the discipline of Cellular Pathology within the NHS, at a number of prestigious London teaching hospitals.
Jamie is also a key member of the IBMS Cellular Pathology Discussion Group committee, who provide educational talks throughout London aimed at Biomedical Scientists.
