Clerical Assistant

Clara has been employed with UK NEQAS ICC & ISH since 2010 as a Clerical Assistant.

Her role entails assisting the Scheme Manager and Lead Administrator with vital administrative duties, including  sending and receiving mail, organising the printing, despatch, and receipt of slides for assessment; assisting with the preparations for the assessments, and the filing of slides from previous runs for all of our modules.

The clerical  role provides support to the service by despatching all unstained slides to participants, and then receiving the returned stained slides many weeks later, after which there is the unpacking, logging and organisation of the slides for the assessors; the logging and handling of the Appealed (Reassessment) slides; filing of slides from previous runs, and also inputting of data onto the scheme database which supports most of these activities.

Most of Clara’s achievements have been gained from “hands-on” experience within the UK NEQAS set-up, and she is constantly increasing her clerical experience, and will continue to do so in the future.
